Somewhere between drone, ambient, experimental electronics, and improvisation. Where acoustic instruments, field recordings, voices, noises, and synthesizers don’t necessarily know their places, but it’s easy to follow how they search for them.
There’s no particular attachment to genres here, just as there’s no special knowledge about them. Movement is everything—the goal is nothing. It often begins with a sound: an instrument, a field recording, a random idea, or a limitation that must be creatively exploited. Some of the material is created in single takes, so that even what couldn’t be planned ends up in the recordings.
This is a project open to collaboration, the exchange of recordings, and the clash of different ways of working with sound. So, there are solo pieces, created in collaboration with other musicians, but also with people who have little in common with music.
It’s more of a laboratory, a basement storage unit, full of equipment and ideas. A creative mess without instructions or clear direction, although perhaps some common threads exist: space, spirituality, Nature, chance, noises and crackles.
