He has already released over 270 albums (published on Bandcamp) as well as numerous side projects. He has strong ties to the Japanese butō dance technique and creates soundtracks for butō performances in Japan and Taiwan. In the future, he hopes to bring some of his projects to Europe as well.
ディオゲネスの骨も草しげりけり (The Bones of Diogenes Were Also Overgrown by Weeds) is an album in the style of industrial gagaku—a modern take on classical Japanese court music characterized by its slow tempo and rich timbre, originating around the 10th century. It is performed on the Japanese shakuhachi flute, self-made metal percussion instruments, and electric guitar, and recorded on cassette.
Limited CDr and MC editions are in preparation.
The special cassette edition from Ubocze Rec. will also include a second version of the piece, without the tape manipulation used on the guitar recording.
